How do I register?: Send me an email. More info here.
What are the min/max team size?: Unlimited! But the prizes are given per team.
I don't have a team... can I still ride?: Sure! If you're awesome (or anti-social), you can be a team of one. If you're loser friends don't feel like showing up, email me and I'll try to find you a team. Or just show up day of and we can try to pair you up. I've already heard from a few folks who are arriving solo and looking for pirate partners.
I've never done a race before! Can I handle it?: Sure. The race format is very flexible: you don't have to ride to all the stops, you build your boat at your own pace and you can call it quits & hit the food whenever you want. It's supposed to be a fun event. For reference, Casey's parents are racing.
Yeah, but... ok, I just really don't want to race.: It happens. You should still show up for the picnic. "Free" food (since it's a fundraiser, donations of $cash$ or grub is appreciated) and the chance to watch your friends fall into the river... that's a good Labor Day.
Free food? What about free beer?: Sorry, no. I don't mind being responsible if you drown but I don't want To get busted for underage drinking. Don't blame me, blame our litigious & perversely child-protective culure. Plus you can get a 6-pack of Pabst pounders at Graziano's for $4.
Do I have to dress like a pirate?: We believe in liberty, so no, you don't have to. But it would be awesome if you did.
How late can I register?: Pre-registration is open until Sunday at midnight. Registration on the day of the event is open from noon until 1pm. See you there!
